Ahh, the humble jumpsuit, what did we do to deserve you? A top, a pair of trousers and a dress somehow rolled into one and looks good? Count me in! Not only are they one of the most chic choices they’re usually one of the most comfiest. Then we have the jumpsuits cheerful little sister the playsuit, equally as stylish but a bit more fun and the perfect way to show off your legs. Both are perfect for this amazing weather we’ve been having here in England as well as for any trips you may have planned soon. Read on to find out how I’d style jumpsuits in the summer.
What’s your favourite colour? Black. Second favourite? Noir… Black is my staple, it’s slimming, it’s chic and it’s easy to style however more recently I’ve been dipping my toe in the colour pool. I don’t let just any colour come into my wardrobe, especially brights, however orange is a personal favourite of mine. It radiates off of a tan, pairs well with so many other colours and lifts up your mood. I’d style this jumpsuit with a pair of plain tan sandals and a lovely printed scarf tied into a messy bun or ponytail.
Working it at work
Whilst this unusual British heat is more than welcomed, I find it so hard to dress for work in this weather. It has to be office appropriate but also comfy and stylish if you’re someone who’s busy meeting people all day. This linen (yes linen, the holy fabric during the summer) jumpsuit is perfect for workwear. It’s modest, comfortable and the vertical stripes are the perfect slimming tool. Pair with a tan bag (navy loves brown) and a subtle gold necklace.
I’m going on holiday on Tuesday and I’m not doing well with packing. Feeling comfortable is numero uno on a hot summer trip however I still want to look stylish and finding that balance isn’t easy. This jumpsuit makes it easy. Jersey and bandeau it’s a relaxed, understated item that you can easily just slip on over your bikini or jazz it up later on at night. I’d team this up with a statement pair of sandals and a floppy beach hat (everyone loves a floppy beach hat). Add black wedges and a leopard print belt for a nice evening meal.
As you can see Warehouse have several elegant but eye catching jumpsuits and playsuits on offer this season that can easily be worn at home or abroad. Regardless of your personal style, everyone can work a jumpsuit into their wardrobe.
What are your favourite jumpsuits/playsuits out there at the moment? How would you style yours?
